National Safety Intelligence Limited ("NSI Safety", "we", "us" or "our") operates the NSI Safety platform including the web application available at nsi-safety.web.app and nsisafety.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
When you use NSI Safety we may collect the following information:
- Driver information: Name and vehicle plate number entered at trip start
- Location data: GPS coordinates, speed and route during active trips
- Emergency contact: Phone number provided for emergency notifications
- Incident reports: Emergency alerts triggered during trips
- Trip data: Start time, end time, route and speed history
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Monitor vehicle speed and location in real time for safety purposes
- Coordinate emergency response when incidents are reported
- Notify emergency contacts via WhatsApp when emergencies occur
- Generate trip reports for fleet operators
- Improve the NSI Safety platform and services
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Location Data
NSI Safety collects GPS location data during active trips. This data is used exclusively for vehicle monitoring and emergency response coordination. Location data is stored securely in Google Firebase and is accessible only to authorized NSI Safety administrators and the relevant fleet operator.
Location tracking is active only when a trip is started by the driver. Tracking stops automatically when the trip ends.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase — a secure cloud platform compliant with international data security standards. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Emergency services: GPS coordinates shared with Ghana Ambulance Service and other emergency responders when an emergency is triggered
- Fleet operators: Trip data shared with the transport company operating the monitored vehicle
- Emergency contacts: Notification sent to the emergency contact number provided at trip start
- Legal requirements: When required by law or legal process
6. Data Retention
Trip data and GPS coordinates are retained for a period of 12 months from the date of the trip. After this period data is deleted from our systems unless required for legal or operational purposes.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing

8. Children's Privacy
NSI Safety is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of NSI Safety after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
